This month, we welcome Belle Perez - a content creator based in London, UK and Melbourne, Australia.

1. What would your dream Scarlet & Sam outfit look like, and where would you wear it?

I definitely lean toward comfort and function these days, so my dream outfit would be simple yet effective — the Capsule Pants, Lola Baby Tee, Spice Market Sandals and the Capsule Bomber. It’s the kind of look you could wear anywhere and feel effortless but still put-together.

2. What Scarlet & Sam piece has felt most aligned with your style?

I love the signature belted jeans. They’re such a staple — easy to dress up or down and just a perfect wardrobe piece. I always struggle to find jeans long enough to give that slouchy feel on me, but Scarlet & Sam have truly made all my dreams come true with these.

3. You have such a romantic aesthetic — what silhouettes or fabrics make you feel your most confident?

That’s so sweet, thank you. I feel like my aesthetic is constantly evolving, but I love that about fashion. I definitely chase the summer, living between London and Australia, so I naturally gravitate toward 100% cotton — you just can’t go wrong, and the pieces really stand the test of time.

I also love a little silk number — how it feels against my skin and how instantly it elevates an outfit. In terms of silhouettes, nothing too specific comes to mind, but I do think my unofficial uniform would be a mini short or skirt, a looser top, chunky knee-high boots, and a vintage bag.

4. Is there a city or destination that most inspires the way you dress?

Since moving to London, I’ve definitely become more confident in myself — and that’s naturally reflected in what I wear. So London is a huge daily source of inspo when I’m there. But living in Europe and having access to so many incredible places, I find inspiration everywhere and in everyone around me.

5. If you could shoot Scarlet & Sam anywhere in Europe, where would it be and why?

Selfishly, maybe Annecy in France. I’ve been dying to visit and see Lake Annecy. I’m really into lakes these days — maybe even more than the ocean. After spending so much time swimming in lakes in Canada over the past couple of years, I just can’t get enough.

I think spring in Annecy would be perfect for Scarlet & Sam — cooler evenings for bombers and layering, but gorgeous sunny days for tanks and shorts. The colours in the collections would look so beautiful against the lake backdrop.

6. What’s one wardrobe staple you find yourself reaching for every summer?

Basic tanks — I truly wear them to death. Black and white, in a few different cuts. They’re such an easy win when paired with a more elevated bottom and great accessories.
