This month, we welcome Milan Wheaton, a freelance creative & content creator from New York.

1. What’s the one fashion item you’ve had in your wardrobe for years and can’t part with? 

I’d had these pair of black heeled boots for over 7 years and I won’t get rid of them cause they’ve been with me throughout all my years of being in NYC and then some! They are a classic black boot i know i can fall back on if ever need be.

2. What's your go-to fashion hack for elevating an outfit?

Lately I think adding a bandanna/scarf and accessorizing has been my latest fashion hack! Because I have short hair and can’t add dimension that way – I find adding big earrings, a bunch of bangles, a head scarf, statement sunglasses to the outfit makes the outfit feel complete! And I’m always looking for more ways to acessorize my outfits.

3. What fashion trend do you think will make a big comeback soon?

I think the trend of individualism will come back and people will stop buying into trends so often. There are so many different types of brands out right now that have a true sense of identity, and I think people will reflect the same! The trend of saving up and waiting to buy that bag or shoes, and then wearing it 2 times a week cause you can’t get enough!!

4. What's your favourite Scarlet & Sam item?

My favorite S&S item is the Scrunched Shirt because it’s such an elevated button up shirt that can be dressed up, sexy, casual, and a layering piece! I’ve worn it all the ways as it’s my go to long sleeve shirt and i’m excited to continue experimenting with styling it.

5. What capsule piece do you think is currently missing from our collection?

Hmmm good question! I feel like an essential tank top would be perfect to add to the Scarlet & Sam collection! I think it would fit well with the brand and we can never have too many tank tops in my opinion! A good quality everyday tank top - i'll help design it ;)
