Introducing S&S Girl Diaries. Designed to showcase Scarlet & Sam girls around the world, we interview the women whose unique style and creativity inspire us. Each month, we feature a new Scarlet & Sam girl from a different city, sharing their perspectives, most coveted products and style edit.

This month, we welcome Vanora Lo - a digital creator and Tech Recruiter at Arc'teryx based in Vancouver, Canada.

1. Which Scarlet & Sam piece do you feel best captures your personal style, and why?

The Capsule Bomber, hands down. It’s perfectly cropped, structured yet relaxed, and gives off that effortless, easy-cool energy I gravitate toward. It’s the kind of piece that does all the talking - no overthinking required.

2. What’s your signature scent or go-to fragrance?

Super Cedar by Byredo. I love how it blends warmth and minimalism in one spritz - it’s woody, clean, and quietly confident. Just like my style, it doesn’t shout, but it lingers in the best way.

3. What’s your dream destination to dress for and why?

Copenhagen. There’s something about the city’s clean lines, tonal layers, and street style that feels both approachable and elevated. Dressing for Copenhagen would be all about tonal tailoring, oversized silhouettes, and pairing sneakers with silk - it’s the perfect match for my love of laidback polish.

4. Who’s your ultimate style icon, past or present?

Right now, I’m obsessed with Peggy Gou. Her style is the ultimate blend of edgy and playful - think bold prints, 90s streetwear references, and unexpected accessories, all pulled together with confidence and individuality. She owns every look, and that kind of fearless styling is so inspiring.

5. How do you like to style S&S items for different occasions or moods?

That’s the beauty of S&S - the pieces transition so seamlessly. I’ll throw on the Capsule Bomber with baggy denim and sneakers for a coffee run, then switch it up with a slinky midi and boots for dinner. Everything feels elevated, even when I’m dressing it down. Whether I’m in a more minimal mood or leaning into textures and layers, the versatility is unmatched.

6. If you had to describe your personal style in three words, what would they be?

Simple, comfortable, and elevated. I love unfussy silhouettes that still feel intentional. Think clean lines, quality fabrics, and pieces that move with you.
