Introducing S&S Girl Diaries. Designed to showcase Scarlet & Sam girls around the world, we interview the women whose unique style and creativity inspire us. Each month, we feature a new Scarlet & Sam girl from a different city, sharing their perspectives, most coveted products and style edit.
This month, we welcome Sigrid Bjørn - a content creator based in Copenhagen, Denmark who balances studying with her love for travel.
1. What would your dream S&S outfit look like, and where would you wear it?
It’s honestly so hard to choose. Scarlet and Sam haven’t made a single piece I wouldn’t wear! Every item is just really really cool. But at the moment, I’m especially obsessed with the new plum bomber. I’d pair it with either the denim mini skirt or the jeans, depending on the weather (which in Copenhagen changes every five minutes!), I would wear it with the busy girl tote, to make at full S&S moment. This outfit could be used for nearly every occasion, but I’d see myself wear it on cozy coffee dates with friends, followed by vintage shopping around the city.
2. What’s one fashion trend you’re currently loving and one you’d happily leave behind?
At the moment, I’m really into hair accessories, everything from bandanas to clips, hairbands and so on. It’s such a simple way to elevate a look, and it’s also practical for keeping your hair out of your face.
One trend I’m leaving behind this summer is clothing with sequins and pearl embellishments. They look amazing on all the girlies, but it’s just not for me.
3. Is there a local place such as a store, park, or hidden gem that inspires your style or creativity?
Copenhagen is full of hidden gems, and the more you explore, the more cool spots you will find. This summer, I’ve spent a lot of time at a restaurant called Villette in Nørrebro. It’s tucked away in a backyard, and they’ve created such a beautiful space with concerts and events. I love the vibe there. It’s always full of cool people and great style inspiration. I definitely recommend checking it out.
4. What does your ideal slow Sunday look like, from morning to night?
Since I’m a full-time student, it’s especially important for me to fully recharge on Sundays before a new week begins. It’s something I really prioritise.
My perfect slow Sunday starts with sleeping in, followed by a coffee from my favourite local spot or one I make at home, ideally while listening to the local radio, which I’m really into at the moment. After that, I’d go for a run to get some fresh air and move my body. Later, I’d meet up with friends for a relaxed lunch or cook something comforting at home. The evening would be all about winding down with candles, a cozy outfit, and either a good book or a movie/series. Just taking it easy and recharging for the week ahead.
5. If you could take S&S anywhere in the world for a dream shoot, where would it be and why?
Definitely Florence (Firenze)! I visited once and completely fell in love with the food, the streets, the atmosphere, basically everything. Ever since that trip, I’ve known I have to go back. Every corner of the city feels like a photo opportunity, full of character and charm. I believe that it would be the perfect backdrop for S&S. ❤️
