This month, we welcome Tia Jai, a Model and Creative from Sri Lanka.

1. What's the one fashion item you've had in your wardrobe for years and can't part with?

These brown vintage cowboy boots my mum gave me. Luckily we’re the same size. But they look beautiful under a pant leg or by themselves. You can’t ever go wrong with a boot. All the different shapes and fits can only make them more fun. 

2. What's your go-to fashion hack for elevating an outfit?

I’ve wanted to keep this a little secret, but I will share with you. I have little elastic clips which I use for any shirts or big T-shirts to make them fit a little more at the waist. It creates a beautiful shape. 

3. What fashion trend do you think will make a big comeback soon?

I’ll be honest I’m not great with trends as, no matter the season, I always end up just experimenting with what I feel like on the day. Using whatever fun pieces I find in my wardrobe, however, I would love to see more smart casual looks, wearing ties and untucked shirts with a big overcoat. 

4. What's your favourite Scarlet & Sam item?

I adore the scrunched shirts. They create this subtle elegance to a shirt. However, it most definitely has to be the capsule bomber. It's a beautiful combination of a boxy crop which is flattering and complimentary to a baggy bottom which is one of my must have staple pieces. Not to mention it’s super warm, perfect for winter & fall. 

5. What capsule piece do you think is currently missing from our collection?

I would love to see a flowy pant. Maybe in a charcoal or a black for more going into winter time. The fabrics you use are beautiful and soft. Seeing that in a trouser would be lovely. I think it would really complement each and every one of the pieces in the collection currently.
